Frederick Fleitz Fleitz joined the Central Intelligence Agency during the directorship of William J. Casey and served as a senior analyst for almost two decades. During the administration of President George W. Bush, Mr. Fleitz served as chief of staff to John Bolton, then Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security. In 2006, Mr. Fleitz became a professional staff member with the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, acting as a senior advisor to Rep. Mark A. Groombridge, Deputy Editor
Mark A. Groombridge Groombridge has an extensive background in international affairs. Between 2001 and 2008, he served as a senior adviser at the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in New York, and the U.S. Commerce Department. In these positions, he was responsible for a wide range of international security and trade issues, including nuclear proliferation, dual-use export controls, and proliferation financing. He was heavily involved in diplomatic efforts to curb North Korea’s nuclear weapons program and was a delegate to the Six-Party Talks on North Korea. Prior to his service in government, Groombridge was a research scholar at both the Cato Institute and the American Enterprise Institute. He is the author (with Claude E. Barfield) of Tiger by the Tail: China and the World Trade Organization, as well numerous articles on U.S. foreign policy in Asia. Dr. Groombridge’s work has been widely cited and he has appeared on many national and international programs. Groombridge has taught at George Washington, Johns Hopkins, and Columbia University. In addition to his current affiliation with the Langley Intelligence Group, he serves as the Executive Director of Decide America, an organization dedicated to generating discussion on national security.

Jack Caravelli, Senior Analyst
Jack Caravelli Caravelli has had extensive experience in both the intelligence and policymaking sides of the US government. He joined the Central Intelligence Agency as a Soviet strategic forces analyst in 1982 and spent the next fourteen years with the Agency in various analytic, staff and managerial positions. In 1996 he was selected to serve on the White House National Security Council Staff as Director for Nonproliferation with responsibility to the president for the formation of US nonproliferation policy on Russia and the Middle East. In 2000 he moved to the Department of Energy to serve as Deputy Assistant Secretary of the department’s nonproliferation threat reduction programs on Russia and other states of the former Soviet Union. …Since leaving government service in 2005, Caravelli has remained active in various national security activities. He is the author of several books on nonproliferation and foreign policy issues and co-editor of a book on strategizing resilience. Caravelli is a Visiting Professor at the UK Defense Academy and lectures at Oxford University where he is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Pluscarden Program on Intelligence and Terrorism.
